Our whole adventure started by chance. We walked into your bike shop in Guilin just to browse some sunglasses. Two days later, we left as friends, completely amazed. You sorted everything in a snap: even though we had no gear with us, you sent us by taxi to Decathlon and coordinated everything with the driver over the phone. The bike tour from Guilin to Yangshuo (about 80 km) was something else! You showed us real China: ancient villages, bridges, parks, river crossings on boats, and tough climbs. Your mate followed on the moped with water and snacks, and you were taking photos and telling stories about places you won't find in any guidebook. And that cafe at the top of the pass with the "million-dollar view" was the perfect touch.

But the real story happened later. On one of the climbs, the moped's battery died. Without missing a beat, you packed all our stuff into your huge backpack, slung it on your back, and just said, "Let's keep going." And you did — keeping pace, cracking jokes, as if you were carrying a feather, not 20 kilos. That's when we realized — Rob isn't just a guide; Rob is made of steel and pure passion.

After we finished, we were relaxing, and you gathered all the bikes and headed off to handle your business. Our family recently spent two weeks travelling through China and we were fortunate to discover Rob and Cyclequest while in Yangshuo. We joined a half-day e-cycling tour that took us along the river, through the stunning karst hills, and into local villages we would never have found on our own. It was truly one of the highlights of our trip.

The equipment was modern and well maintained, and Rob was exceptionally friendly, generous with his time, and deeply knowledgeable about the area.
